raspberry, strawberry or standard grape?

While we were at g on Saturday night at 5pm (in dire need of cocktailing), Kevin had gone up to get us drinks, while i dried out my clothes. He went up twice, the first time talking to the bartender about where we were from, about what we were doing that night. It seemed that all bartenders wanted to know our philly 411.

at any rate i get up to get the third round of delicious drinks (and they were just delicious), i am standing there patiently waiting to be served, and this man in a full length trenchcoat is next to me, i can feel him breathing - wanting to say something, so i look over my shoulder, and pretend to look in another direction. but he caught me and said "where in philly do you live?"

Which engaged us in a more lengthy discussion, he was also from philly. Marty. say hi to marty. well as it were, marty came and sat with us for a while. marty was drunk. he was sorta funny in an awkward way. very nice, but .....well i just don't know. the long trenchcoat, it just didn't fit with me, but then again, i just don't think i will ever wear one of those.

anyway - he said something to us that i can't stop thinking about. He asked how old we were, we told him.......

"oh, but aren't you both so well preserved.?"

wtf? am i jelly? jam? or some design of marmalade. lady marmalade perhaps, but not preserved. very strange. or upsetting, i mean i don't think our ages are those in the age range which would even imply that we need preserved. Or was he giving us the ultimate compliment? Like....the origins, kiehls, and body shop products are making you both look 21?

I am not preserved though, not a mummy, not a jelly. just spry and ...... young. !!! like lindsey lohan. or .......... boone from LOST, who was killed last night to my utter shock and horror. anyway i digress.

it's the weather. its making me muy crazyiiiy. ciao.
